GSM Nord: hardware versions

Devices Nord (GSM, RF) are available with different hardware versions that differ in circuitry. 
The hardware version of the device can be seen in the Security Center, in the configurator and in the utility for updating the version. This article presents the main differences with which you can visually determine the hardware version.

1 – fuses in the keyboard and cable power supply circuits

LIN and RS-485 interfaces 

LIN interface terminal located between zone terminals. The devices 5.2 and 5.3, has the RS-485 interface installed instead of the LIN interface. The devices 5.4 and 5.5, has no terminal bus.

Outputs

The terminal block “Indication” installed inthe upper part of the printed circuit board was not used in any way in devicesof version 5.1.

Starting from version 5.2, open collectors located on the “Indication” terminal block can be used to control external devices, such as light alarms.

Thus, the total number of open collectors in the devices increased to 7.

The devices 5.5 and 5.7 has no terminal bus. In this case, the keyboards K16 and K14 will still play sounds through their speakers, when connected to the devices of version 5.5.
